Katie visits!

Our friend Katie came to visit us from Chicago. Here are pictures of our adventures with her.
On Friday we took the boys & Minh to the Ga. Aquarium.
Katie & the boys
Chris slept during most of the adventure but here was a brief moment with Daddy while he was awake. We think it was just too much for him to take all in.
James & Daddy looking at the fish.
James was excited about something!
James wanted to be in this picture!
James looking cool! He was awake during the whole trip. He learned a lot I am sure.
On Thursday, we dropped off the boys with Gramps & MeMe and headed for our Mini Southern Tour. Our first stop was Kennesaw Mountain, a battlefield during the Civil War. Katie practiced shooting "them d#$% Yankees!"
The next stop was the "Big Chicken" in Marietta. A must see- why you ask? Because how many towns have a Big Chicken - come to think of it, why do we??? HUMM?!?!
We headed to CNN for the tour and walked around Centennial Olympic Park.
We ate lunch at Mary Mac's. They are known for their Southern/ country food.
I had Fried Tomatoes, Sweet Potato Souffle, Fried Okra and Black Eyed Peas.
Katie had Chicken and Dumplings, Creamed Corn, Potato Cakes and I made her taste all of my food as well. She liked everything but the tomatoes. We both had Sweet Tea- a must have with any meal!
You write down what you want to order.
Another ATL favorite is the World of Coke. They have relocated the original World of Coke so I needed to go for a "refresher" myself. Katie & I enjoyed seeing all the memorabilia. Katie also enjoyed sampling all 60+ beverages they make all around the world.
One place everyone has to go when they visit ATL. is The Varsity. We took Katie & the boys for their 1st trip. James & Chris LOVED the chili dogs!
Minh is very excited that Katie is here because he now has someone to play Wii with him. She did better in basketball, golf and Frisbee golf than him! YES!
