Day 2 Saturday, July 3rd
This afternoon we arrived in
Naperville, IL where we stayed with our friends, Jen & John Morgan. The boys were introduced to Barbie's and everything pink!
Day 3 Sunday, July 4

This was Maddie's family birthday party followed up by the
Naperville fireworks from their back deck. Perfect view! I think the only picture we took that day was of Chris and John.
Day 4 Monday, July 5
th
This was Maddie's actually birthday, her "golden birthday" (5 on the 5
th). On her birthday she wanted to go swimming at her grandparent's pool then have dinner and ice cream in downtown
Naperville. So that is what we did. The boys enjoyed swimming once they got used to the water temperature. James was even dunked under water and he did great! For lunch at the pool the boys had their first hot dog and liked it. It must have been Mr
Weigel's grilling!
For dessert we went to Cold Stone and Chris love my shake. And when I mean loved, I mean would not give me back my cup! He had a death grip on it. I had to go get an empty cup to put a little in for him. James could have cared less! We know who got my sweet tooth!
It was a great weekend and way to ease into the craziness of our long trip. Thanks Morgan's for letting us join in your celebration weekend!
