17 months old

The boys are 17 months old today. We estimate they weigh 24 lbs. We know James is closer to 25lbs because he had to go the the doctor this week for his "first" ear & sinus infection. Chris is still a bit taller. They have many of their molars, we can't count them because we would not have any fingers left. They LOVE brushing their teeth. They cheer when I get the brushes out. They eat almost everything. Sometimes green veggies are hard to get down but otherwise they are good eaters. James says "dada', "mama" and "melmo"- translation= ELMO! Chris is sticking with "dada" and "dat" - translation = that. He says THAT to everything he is wanting or looking at. They are running now, they still play chase with each other around the house daily. The laughter is an awesome sound in the house. We have started a music class on Mondays. We left the first class with 3 sets of wooden sticks to tap together for a beat. The word the boys did not comprehend was TAP. James was very close to TAPPING the window of the car out on the way home from the class. Luckily, he dropped them before that happened. Chris likes to pick his up, tap them a few times and THROW them OVER his head backwards! Don't ask me why! The funny thing that happened today was when the boys were watching the movie Nemo for a few minutes when Minh & I were making dinner. I came into the room and was talking to Minh. James got up from the living room and walked into the kitchen and looked at us and did the "SHHH" sign with his finger and the sound as well. We just looked at him and he walked back to watch the movie. Minh & I looked at each other and said I think we have just been SHH'D by our 17 month old! Minh's comment was "that is probably the nicest way he will ever tell us SHH again!" OH MY! As always we look forward to what tomorrow will bring..... We are very blessed!
