21 months old

We have spent most of the past month indoors due to snow and illness. We have enjoyed getting back in the routine this week.  Music class starts again next Monday. On Tuesdays we sometimes go to a Mother's Morning Out or to a story time. On Wednesdays we meet a playgroup for a story time then go to Dramma's house to "EAT" as Chris YELLS from the back seat as soon as we drive up to her house. On Thursdays, they go to MeMe's and Gramps' and again YELL "MeMe" at their driveway. Fridays we go to a music /story time where James gets to show off his "moves" to all the ladies or we just hang out at home. Ahh.... a regular schedule is back!

Chris is chatting away with 3 word sentences. We often hear Chris saying "roll call" as we call it.... "Elmo, Big Bird, Goger (Grover), Osh (Oscar), Burt, Enie (Ernie), O-Oe (Zoe), Abby." He does this randomly throughout the day. It is funny to hear him.

James has made good speech progress these past few weeks.  Today he said "purple" very clearly- Woo Hoo! He is using a few 2 word phrases- so he is catching up! He is getting really good at using a spoon and fork.

Chris is loving and I mean LOVING playing with the smaller train set. Today he played for over 20 minutes with them- saying "Choo-Choo" and going around in circles over and over again. But he loved it, he had a smile on the whole time. We are hoping that Elmo is on his way OUT and trains are on the way in! We are thinking of getting them a larger wooden train set for their birthdays.

James likes trains but prefers the "faster life." He still likes music, and moving and running around the house. He is a wild one. He enjoys pushing the cars on the hardwood and chasing after them.

We believe they have tons of teeth but we can't count them. They are learning how to wash hands without spraying water all over the walls. Brushing teeth is another skill we are learning. They can get about 50% of their mouth but they also enjoy just chewing on the non-brush side.

Looking forward to seeing what is in store for us next month.
