Crazy July

This is SO unlike me but here is it the last day of July and I haven't updated the blog. We have had one month full of illness and that is my excuse and I am sticking to it. So here is our month in one LONG post.
The boys were invited to a birthday party at a climbing gym. They were both happy at the end of the party they made it to the top of the wall to "ring the bell."
Minh's family came in town July 3rd and left July 8th. The boys enjoyed seeing and playing with everyone.

James with Uncle Sieu and Aunt Katy

They love AhMa.
Two days before they were to leave James came down with a fever and swollen tonsils. So off to the Dr we went on July 8th to get a diagnosis of tonsillitis and an appt to see the ENT. ENT said the tonsils and adenoids needed to be removed on July 22nd. So we continued on our month until then...

On the 15th we celebrated MeMe's birthday. I took the boys to Dollar Tree to pick out their own gift and we had a laugh because of it.

Chris gave MeMe a toilet plunger because the beach house got flooded a week ago and he thought she would need it to help clean up any more flooding! HAHA!

James gave her a solar dancing flower which he later broke and went back to buy her a new one and decided she needed fake red flowers that she didn't have to water and they won't die. HEHE!

Great night!

Old pictures here.. The week of June 24 the boys attended VBS at St Joseph's for the first time and love it.

Another picture from June: Minh & I ran a 5K in honor of a former classmate from ND. This was Minh's first 5K.

Proud ending!

July 1st James had his first SUPER HERO allergy shots, aka pinches. He and I both do them twice a week and he is not enjoying them yet but not crying as long.

After the first set of shots we went to get ice cream to celebrate.

Another random day as pirates! We attended a Pirate and Princess Music Class and they dressed up.

On July 4th, I ran the Peachtree Road Race with our neighbors. This is the before.

And the after.

We were invited by our neighbors to a pre-screening of Turbo. It was so cute!

The boys found out the movie Planes is coming and they are a bit excited.

Can't waste a box... it became a robot head.

We had trees cut down and they were entertained for hours.

The day before James' surgery we dropped off Chris with MeMe and we took James to Build-A-Bear. He had never built one before and I thought he would enjoy making one to take to the hospital with him. He named his Fluffy. He also decided Chris needed one too and his is named Happy.

Here is our big boy at Scottish Rite waiting to be called back at 5:30 in the morning on July 22nd.

The Chrisohon's gave James this superman bracelet that plays the superman song and he loved it. Wore it, pushed it and smiled all day long! Thanks C Family!

Ready for the doctors to come in while having a little relaxing time with Daddy.
He did well and now it was time to go home. Went to the car in a wagon!

Happy to be done!

The Sullivan's gave the boys a gift card to a yogurt shop to help the healing. They of course loved it!

James wanted some MeMe time and I wanted some time with Chris, so we headed to Monster Mini Golf for the first time.

Minh joined us and we had a great time. Then off to Moe's for dinner, his choice!

July 29th: A week after James' surgery, Chris was diagnosed with tonsillitis. The Morgan's had just sent James a gift card to Dairy Queen so we decided to have ice cream for lunch after the doctors appointment for Chris. It is now July 31st and today is the first day in almost 2 weeks that no one has a fever! I hope August is a healthier month!
